On the 23rd May 2019, Stamford International University continued its expansion of international dual degree pathways by signing a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) with Middlesex University London. Stamford’s President Dr Andrew Scown and Colin Pinto, the Acting Dean of Business and Technology, attended on behalf of Stamford and Middlesex University was represented by Karen Wong, Director of South-East Asia and Sook Heng, Center Manager.
The MOU is one of numerous international dual degree options available at Stamford in its ongoing mission to deliver genuinely global education to its students. The collaboration focuses on a ‘3 + 1’ progression from Stamford International University to Middlesex University London and is available for the Information Technology and International Hotel Management programs. What this means is that students do three years at Stamford, then a final year at Middlesex with credits transferred and will consequently graduate with two degrees: one from Stamford International University and one from Middlesex University. There are also scholarships available for eligible students.
The option to study in Bangkok and London, two of the most exciting and diverse cities in the world, gives students the experience, skills and confidence to succeed and thrive anywhere in the world. With international accreditation, Stamford offers an affordable international education augmented by a multicultural learning environment. Middlesex provides expert teaching that is informed by inspiring research and practice. The university was awarded Silver in the Teaching Excellence Framework 2017 for the quality of its teaching, learning and outcomes for students.
Both Middlesex University and Stamford International University have student bodies hailing from well over 100 countries, and a focus on preparing students for the modern, dynamic, global workplace. Both programs are in high demand, especially as the world grows ever more interconnected.
It is through leveraging its international connections and hands-on global experiences that Stamford strives to maximize student outcomes and prepare them for the future. With two globally recognized degrees, visits and talks from international experts, internships, work placements, and opportunities in two very different locations, Stamford graduates will have a considerable advantage in an increasingly competitive job-market.
