Doctor of Philosophy Program in Educational Administration and Leadership (International Program)

The Doctor of Philosophy Program in Educational Administration and Leadership (Ph.D.) prepares graduates for leadership positions at educational institutions. The program is designed for learners who plan an inquiry into the issues of educational leadership through a theoretical framework. Doctoral studies in educational administration emphasize research methodology, both quantitative and qualitative.

The program is suited for those candidates’ planning careers in school, college and university administration, in teaching, research, policy analysis and implication, in offices or departments of education systems, higher and post-secondary institutions, state agencies, or in any education-related leadership profession of the 21st Century.

Program Overview:      

STIU’s Ph.D. Program consists of 50 credits. It is a flexible doctoral degree program, which is suitable for executives, entrepreneurs, and leaders in educational organizations who want to develop their knowledge, critical analysis and critical thinking skills through coursework and research. Learners are encouraged to work closely with their dissertation advisors from day 1 until graduation.

  1. Master’s degree from an accredited institution, with a GPA of minimum 2.5/4.0 (or equivalent).
  2. Complete an entrance exam and sit for an admission interview, in order to be accepted to a doctoral degree program.
