Our Story

Named after Sir Stamford Raffles (1781-1826), Stamford International University opened its first campus near Palm Hills Golf Resort, Hua-Hin.

2009

2009

Stamford opened its second campus, Rama 9 Campus, in Bangkok.

2015

2015

Stamford opened the Asoke Campus Learning Center in the heart of Bangkok's business district.

Historical Background

Named after Sir Stamford Raffles (1781- 1826), Stamford International University opened its first campus in Thailand in 1995, near Palm Hills Golf Resort, Hua Hin. To meet the growing demand for international education in Thailand and the ASEAN region, Stamford opened its second campus in Bangkok in 2009, near Rama 9 road. In 2015, Stamford opened its downtown learning center, the Asoke Campus Learning Center, in the heart of Bangkok’s business district.

Stamford International University, where students of over 100 nationalities learn and develop together. The programs encourage critical and creative thinking and use a variety of pedagogical methodologies in the classrooms to ensure the classes are truly student-centered and focused on outcomes. The majority of the faculty are international from countries including the USA, UK, France, Germany, China, and many more, making it one of the most diverse and experienced faculties in Thailand. At Stamford, students are prepared to overcome challenges in a diverse and changing world.

Stamford International University offers international and Thai undergraduate and graduate degree programs, including: business and management, communication, hospitality management and information technology. Programs, curricula and degrees are fully accredited by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of University Affairs of Thailand. Stamford is included on the Ministry of University Affairs’ list of accredited private universities of Thailand.

Stamford is the first university in Thailand to receive International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) accreditation of the business and management programs offered through its Faculty of Business and Technology.
