Faculty Member for a Master Program in Music
Position Title: Faculty Member for Master of Music Program
Position Type: Full-time/Part-time
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching for Master of Music courses, covering both theory and practice in areas including but not limited to:
- Music Performance
- Composition and Arrangement
- Music Theory and Analysis
- Music Education and Research Methods
- Supervise graduate students in academic research, independent study, or thesis writing.
- Actively participate in curriculum development, quality assurance process, and contribute to the program’s innovation and internationalization.
- Conduct academic research in music-related fields and publish high-impact scholarly works.
- Support other academic and administrative tasks of the department, such as student recruitment and international collaboration activities.
Qualifications
- Educational Background and Specialization:
- Doctor of Philosophy in Music (PhD), Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA), or equivalent doctoral degree in music, with a focus on one or more of the following areas:
- Music, Audiovisual Arts, or Music Arts
- Thai Music
- Western Music
- Thai Contemporary Music
- Multimedia Music
- Folk Music
- Musicology
- Music Therapy
- Ethnomusicology
- Music Pedagogy
- Music Performance
- Composition and Creative Work
- Musicology (History, Theory, Ethnomusicology)
- Music Technology and Industry
- Music Education or Therapy
- Doctor of Philosophy in Music (PhD), Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA), or equivalent doctoral degree in music, with a focus on one or more of the following areas:
- Academic Achievements:
- Minimum of 3 scholarly papers published in recognized journals in the past 5 years.
- Minimum of 3 scholarly papers published in recognized journals in the past 5 years.
- Teaching and Professional Titles:
- Candidates with a Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor title are preferred.
- Prior teaching experience at the graduate level is a plus.
- Language Skills:
- Proficiency in English for teaching and academic communication.
- Proficiency in Chinese is preferred (strong written and spoken communication skills in Chinese).
- Other Skills:
- Strong teamwork and leadership abilities.
- Experience in cross-cultural teaching or international collaboration is preferred.
